Held on select evenings between August 7-20 2022, this festival event saw each of Niagara’s 13 municipalities collaborate with one of Canada’s 13 provinces and territories to showcase the unique cultural heritage, entertainment, art, and culinary experiences of each pairing during their assigned special night (see schedule and pairings below). As we continue to emerge from what has been challenging times, the Niagara Host Society provided an opportunity for Canadians to come together in celebration of what makes this country so special.

Events
The 13 For 13 Cultural Festival rotated every night during the 2022 Canada Games, changing from one municipality to another, and offered complimentary admission to all.
Visitors of the festival had the opportunity to experience the cultures of each province and territory, while also travelling across Canada without leaving Niagara — something that inspire many to explore this great nation.

The 13 For 13 logo is an artistic version of the Canadian map, shaped like a maple leaf. Beams of light radiate from the Niagara Region out towards each province and territory. The light projects positive energy and hope, representing Canadians travelling to come together after a long period of isolation. The translucent, converging shapes have the appearance of crystal shards, representing the resilient nature of our citizens, but also the power of strength.
