Canada Games Park
Changing the landscape of sport facilities in Niagara

Located adjacent to Brock University’s main campus and within walking distance from the Athletes Village, Canada Games Park (CGP) is the home to new state-of-the-art sport facilities in Niagara.
These facilities include the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre, consisting of two NHL-sized ice-boxes (one seating approximately 1200, the other about 200), a Sport Performance Centre (6,000 square feet), the Brock-Niagara Health & Well-Being Centre (10,000 square feet), a suspended 200m indoor track, sport offices (8,000 square feet), and a multipurpose fieldhouse featuring four (4) gymnasiums that can be configured into a centre court, containing approximately 700 telescoping permanent seats, and are all designed to be accessible for parasport.
Six competition beach volleyball courts, a cycling pavilion and storage facilities for outdoor sport equipment, and a 400m track-and-field facility are located outside of the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre.
After the 2022 Games, CGP will be open to the community and provide opportunities for all, regardless of age or physical ability. CGP will leave a lasting legacy for the community and has been built as a result of Niagara hosting the 2022 Canada Summer Games.
In recognition of a generous $3-million donation gifted by the Walker family, the 210,000 square foot sport-and-recreation building at CGP was named the Walker Sports and Abilities Centre, along with the north entry plaza, which is known as the Walker Founders Plaza.
