Call for Artists
The Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games are pleased to announce that we are seeking local professional and non-professional performing artists and cultural groups who would be interested in participating in cultural and festival programs for the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.
Cultural and Festival performance opportunities include:
- Opening Ceremony | Saturday, August 6th, 2022
- Closing Ceremony | Sunday, August 21st, 2022
- Niagara Place Festival | Saturday, August 6th, 2022 - Sunday, August 21st, 2022 [daytime programming]
- 13 for 13 Cultural Festival | Sunday, August 7th, 2022 -Saturday, August 20th, 2022 [evening programming]
Who should apply?
Application is open to a broad, inclusive range of Niagara based performers and performance groups in traditional and contemporary disciplines in the following categories:
- Dance (all genres)
- Music (all genres)
- Storytelling
- Poetry / Spoken Word / Written / Literary Arts
- Theatrical Performers
- Announcers/MC
- Traditional Cultural/Folk Performance
- Interdisciplinary Performance Arts
- Media / Visual / Design Artists
- Cultural activity
- Readings/Poetry
- Buskers
- Sculpture
- Puppetry
- Choreography
- Circus Performers
- Tattoo Artists
- Other
We welcome submissions from a range of community, emerging and established Niagara artists, performers and performance groups. Eligible performers include all Niagara residents of all abilities and disabilities and all Niagara Indigenious peoples.
