Frequently Asked Questions

What tickets are currently being sold for the 2022 Canada Summer Games?

The All-Access Sports Pass and the Sport-Specific Week Pass went on sale to the public on October 15, 2021. Both passes remain available for purchase online.

The All-Access Sport Pass provides a ticket holder with access to all sports played across both weeks with the exception of swimming and diving (due to limited capacity).

The Sport-Specific Week Pass grants a ticket holder with access to all competitions for one sport during one week of the 2022 Canada Games.

I want to purchase tickets for specific days of the Games. What kind of passes will be available for that and when will they go on sale?

All-Access Day Passes, Sport-Specific Day Passes and Opening Ceremony tickets will go on sale in May 2022.

All-Access Day Passes will grant ticket holders access to all sport competitions occurring during a single day, with the exception of swimming and diving (due to limited capacity). This type of pass will only be made available during the first four days of competition for a given week of the 2022 Canada Games.

Separately, Sport-Specific Day Passes will grant a ticket holder access to all competitions for one sport during a single day of competition. This type of day pass will be available on all days of competition with the exception of a medal day in team sports. If interested in attending a single day of medal competition for a team sport, we recommend that you buy a Sport-Specific Medal Day Pass instead, which also will be made available for purchase at the same time as these other passes.

Finally, the Opening Ceremony, which will mark the beginning of the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games, will be a ticketed-event that will take place on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines.

Are medal rounds or sessions included in the All-Access Sports Pass and the Sport-Specific Week passes?

Yes. All medal rounds/sessions are included as part of these passes.

What are the prices for all the ticket passes listed above?

Please see the package and pass price grid here.

What is the COVID-19 policy for spectators?

Currently, no official decision has been made on a COVID-19 policy for spectators who will attend the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games. The Games’ events and its spectators will be subject to public health requirements from the federal, provincial and Niagara Region governments, along with the policies of Niagara 2022’s competition and non-competition venues at the time of the event between August 6-21, 2022.

We will closely monitor all dialogue and decisions made by the different levels of government as it pertains to future events and programming. We will issue pertinent updates regarding spectator policies as we receive them.

Are discounts available for students, seniors, or children?

Children 5 years of age and under are admitted free of charge and do not require a ticket for entry. Only one child is permitted per paying adult. Depending on venue capacity, the child may be required to sit on the adult’s lap. Seniors, students and children older than five years of age will be required to purchase tickets at full price.

When do individual sporting event tickets go on sale?

Tickets for individual sporting events will go on sale when the Sport-Specific Day Passes are made available for purchase in May 2022.

If I want to go watch a single baseball game or a soccer match, how do I get tickets for just one game?

Sport-Specific Day Passes will be available for individual ticketed sports through our website starting May 2022. A Sport-Specific Day Pass will allow you to watch all of the events scheduled on one particular day, for one particular sport. In order to watch one specific game, the Sport-Specific Day Pass will be what you want to buy (it just means you will also get to watch the rest of that day’s games/competitions for that sport).

Do I have to buy tickets online ahead of time or can I buy them in-person at a box office?

More information about in-person options for buying tickets will be shared in May 2022. There will also be box office locations at each of our ticketed sports venues during the 2022 Canada Games for in-person ticket sales (based on availability).

All-Access Sports Passes and Sport-Specific Week Passes will be mailed out starting May 2022 and continue through mid-July 2022. Any passes purchased from mid-July through the start of the Games will need to be picked up in-person at our main box office location (details to follow regarding location and hours of operation closer to Games time).

What if I move before my tickets are mailed in May 2022?

If your email or mailing address changes before tickets are sent out, please update your profile information in your Tournkey account to ensure delivery to the correct address. Alternatively, you may contact Brianne Whitty, Manager of Ticketing & Merchandise at
